Some things in life are a given. Too much chocolate can make you fat. The good-looking ones let you down. You can never get a taxi in the rain. An AGA is always on. But there is another given - things change. While we can't offer you calorie-free chocolate, an abundance of taxis or even a perfect romance, we can offer you something completely new.
An AGA cooker you can switch on and off as you please. AGA Total Control looks exactly like a classic AGA cooker and cooks using radiant heat better than ever, yet underneath its sleek cast-iron exterior lies a state-of-the-art touch screen control panel.
And it's this new technology that enables owners to operate the cooker in a way that suits them. All of the three ovens and two hotplates can be operated independently - or together.
AGA Total Control can, for example, be fully on during chilly winter evenings, but on a balmy night in July perhaps only one hotplate will be used to cook a light supper. Heat up times are short. The cost of running this electric AGA can fall dramatically as it works flexible hours; AGA cooking can cost under £5 a week.
William McGrath, Chief Executive of AGA Rangemaster Group plc said:
"Today's launch is a big moment for the Group. AGA Total Control provides the romance of the AGA wrapped up in a 21st century package. The patented technology embedding electric elements in cast iron achieves the flexibility required. Total Control is also largely factory built making it more readily exportable. Its launch provides a great stimulus for the whole Group."
The result of years of research and development, AGA Total Control is available from Wednesday 18th May, costs £9,595 and is available in 11 beautiful colours.
