Why are we being given this choice now?
The Companies Act 2006 included new provisions regarding shareholder communications. These came into force on 20 January 2007, and allow us to offer greater choice in how we communicate with shareholders.
What do I need to do?
If you hold your shares in a nominee company you will need to contact your account manager. All other shareholders should select the option they prefer and follow the instructions on the election form, sent with their dividend communication.
What if I choose electronic communication and later want a paper version of something?
All shareholders have a right to request, at no extra charge, hard copy versions of shareholder information and documentation.
Can I change my mind about receiving documents electronically?
Yes, you can change your selection by writing to Equiniti Limited, Aspect House, Spencer Road, Lancing, West Sussex BN99 6DA. You can also manage your account online at www.shareview.co.uk.
What happens if I don’t do anything?
Shareholders who do not return the form, or register online will receive notification, by post, when documents are available for viewing on our website. This is called a Notification of Availability.
How will I know when to look for new information?
When we issue a shareholder communication you will be sent an email alert containing a link to the relevant documents. If we receive notification that this email has not reached its intended recipient, we will mail a copy of the Notification of Availability to you.
When will the Annual report be available online?
The Company’s Annual report will normally be available for viewing on our website at least one month before the scheduled AGM each year, which is normally held in May.
If I select Option 3, what will you send me?
All shareholder communication sent to you by the Company will be sent in paper format. Previous instructions regarding whether you require the Annual report will continue.
What if I change my email address?
If we receive notification that an email address is no longer active, or that our email did not reach the recipient, we will post a hard copy of the Notification of Availability. This will be sent by post to the shareholder at their registered address. We will also send notification that the email sent failed to reach you and you should advise us of your up-to-date email address.
Will you use my email address for anything else?
You are signing up to the Shareview service from Equiniti. This has its own set of terms and conditions about when they can use your email address. You can opt out of receiving marketing emails, but will continue to receive shareholder communications and any service messages relating to the Shareview product.
